About Dr. Lancaster
Dr. Lancaster graduated from the UNC School of Dentistry in 1982 and first began practicing dentistry in 1983 in Princeton, N.C. He started his practice in Kinston in 1990.
Dr. Lancaster is past chairman of the N.C. Dental Society (NCDS) Board of Trustees and has served as a Trustee since 2008. He has also served as president of the Fifth District Dental Society and as Chairman of the North Carolina Dental Society Annual Session. He is a Fellow in the International College of Dentists, American College of Dentists, and the Pierre Fauchard Academy. Dr. Lancaster has also represented the North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia district on the American Dental Association's Council on Annual Session.
Active in civic affairs, Dr. Lancaster is a deacon at Immanuel Baptist Church; has sponsored numerous youth sports teams; and is a member of Richard Caswell Masonic Lodge #512 and New Bern Scottish Rite Bodies.
Dr. Lancaster's hobbies include hunting, gardening, and dental missions.
Dr. Lancaster has co-chaired Lenoir County Give Kids A Smile! and along with his wife Carla has participated in numerous N.C. Missions of Mercy clinics throughout the state and outreach clinics in Africa, Jamaica and St. Kitts. They have also been active volunteers for the Baptist Men’s Dental/Medical bus.
The Lancasters have two children, Sally and James.
